Proof that romance exists … even in the bathroom

When we launched our Match Made in Evolve Valentine’s Day showdown, we expected something quirky. But even we were shocked at the runaway favourite.

The winning match was – insert suspenseful music 3-Ply Bamboo Toilet Paper and Evolve Eau de Poof Before-You-Go-Loo Spray.

Yes. Toilet paper and loo spray.
And yet, clearly, romance does not always wear red satin … sometimes it means using
biodegradable bamboo toilet paper after spritzing the toilet with the lovely scent of Eau de Poof

To celebrate, here are three fun facts about each winner that might make you laugh … or at least think twice about what you put in your bathroom bag.

Eau de Poof the star attraction

  1. Spray it before you go and you basically create an invisible ‘anti-stink shield’ in the loo bowl. It actually works.
  2. It contains natural essential oils with 3 different variants Citrus, Powder and Original – so it’s like perfume for the toilet that solves the problem (instead of making the bathroom aftermath more floral, but still potent).
  3. The microbes in the formula keep drains and septic tanks fresher for longer … yes, the loo spray is moonlighting as a mini plumber.

Truly the MVP (most valuable player) of small bottles. Pop one of the 50ml sizes into your bag and you’re like a bathroom ninja – silent, subtle and secretly prepared.

Bamboo toilet paper the unsung supportive partner

  1. It’s made from 100% bamboo which grows quickly and doesn’t need pesticides, so every roll you use is a tiny eco-victory.
  2. Each roll has 350 sheets, so it lasts a bit longer than the standard stuff.
  3. It’s unbleached, cruelty free and wrapped in paper that you can recycle. Basically the toilet paper equivalent of a sustainable hug

Not flashy, but there when you need it and that sometimes is the most romantic thing there is.

What makes the winning match so special?

Romance does not always show up with chocolates and roses. Sometimes it shows up with products that:

  • prevent awkward hallway conversations
  • reduce the odds of guests fleeing your house mid-visit
  • and make you wonder how you ever lived without them.

This was one of those votes where people weren’t picking cutethey were picking useful. The most practical products won hearts. And oddly, that’s charming.

Final thoughts

So, today we have learnt that romance exists in unexpected places. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s adorable and sometimes it’s a loo spray that stops odours before they become infamous.

If that isn’t love in the 21st century … what is?
